Sony Xperia XA3 Plus Price and Colour Options Leaked, Rumoured to Debut at CES 2019

Sony Xperia XA2 Plus was unveiled in July this year

Sony Xperia XA3 series is likely to soon supersede the Xperia A2 range that debuted at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) early this year. The new series that is expected to include the regular Xperia XA3 and Xperia XA3 Ultra allegedly received certification in Russia earlier this month. But now, the price and colour variants of the Sony Xperia XA3 Plus have been spotted online. The new smartphone is speculated to debut at CES 2019 next month. It could have a full-HD+ display and a new Snapdragon 600-series SoC.

The Sony Xperia XA3 Plus alongside the Xperia XA3 and Xperia L3 will be unveiled at CES 2019 in Las Vegas, as per a report by Android blog DroidShout. A person familiar with the matter also claims that the new Xperia XA3 Plus will carry a price of EUR 519 (roughly Rs. 41,700) and come in Black, Gold, and Silver colour options.

On the part of specifications, the Sony Xperia XA3 Plus is speculated to have a display panel with over 6-inch size and full-HD+ resolution. The smartphone is also likely to have a newer Snapdragon 600-series SoC.

Sony was so far rumoured to unveil the Xperia XA3 Ultra – alongside the Xperia XA3 and Xperia L3. However, the latest report is exclusive to the Xperia XA3 Plus. This notably doesn’t confirm that the Xperia XA3 Ultra won’t be a part of the new lineup. A report earlier this month claimed that the smartphone has been certified in Russia.

Some early renders of the Xperia XA3 and Xperia XA3 Ultra show that both new smartphones will have thin bezels, side-mounted fingerprint sensors, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphones are also expected to have a glass back.

Alongside the Xperia XA3, Xperia XA3 Plus, and Xperia XA3 Ultra, Sony could unveil the Xperia L3 at CES 2019. The new smartphone is rumoured to have a 5.7-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) display along with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is also expected to sport a dual rear camera setup and run Android 9.0 Pie.

Last year’s Sony Xperia XA2 lineup that included the regular Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra, and Xperia L2 had debuted at CES 2018. The Japanese company also brought the Xperia XA2 Plus separately in July this year.

Samsung Galaxy S10+ Now Rumoured to Sport 3 Rear Cameras Instead of 4, Leaked Case Shows 3.5mm Audio Jack

Samsung Galaxy S10+ is now rumoured to come with three rear camera sensors. The latest revelation counters the previous reports that claimed the presence of four instead of three rear camera sensors on the top-end Galaxy S10 model. An image showing the Galaxy S10+ case has separately emerged on the Web that suggests a 3.5mm headphone jack. In another news, Samsung has reportedly filed patents for three new smartphone models with titles ‘Rize10’, ‘Rize20’, and ‘Rize30’. These could be related to the three models under the Galaxy S10 family or a separate range of smartphones altogether.

Among other new leaks, the tipster who uses pseudonym Ice Universe on Twitter to often report unannounced developments claims that the Samsung Galaxy S10+ will come with three rear camera sensors – similar to the regular Galaxy S10. This isn’t in line with the previous reports that highlighted four rear camera sensors on the Galaxy S10+.

The tipster also reiterates that apart from the three rear camera sensors, the Galaxy S10+ will come with two front-facing sensors. In contrast, it is said that the regular Galaxy S10 will come with a single selfie camera.

Purported protective films of the Galaxy S10+ previously suggested that how Samsung would provide a dual selfie camera. The smartphone is rumoured to come with two display holes on the Infinity-O Display panel. However, this isn’t likely to be the case with the regular Galaxy S10 that is so far rumoured to have a single selfie camera that could sit under a single display hole.

The tipster also notes that the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite will come with a single front camera sensor similar to the Galaxy S10. Furthermore, the inferior-most model in the Galaxy S10 family is said to have a dual rear camera setup.

Separately, as spotted by Netherlandish website LetsGoDigital, Samsung has filed patent applications in the UK and Mexico for three of its new smartphone models that are referred to the Rize10, Rize20, and Rize30. These could be the three model under the Galaxy S10 family. However, the South Korean giant could unveil the Rize phones as an all-new series for developing markets as well. It is safe to expect that the company could reveal more details around its new development sometime early next year – likely at Mobile World Congress 2019 in late February.

Tipster Ice Universe in a separate tweet also posted an image of a Galaxy S10+ case. The case appears to have a hole for the 3.5mm headphone jack. This suggests that Samsung could continue to offer the traditional port over switching to digital audio that uses the USB Type-C port. Having said that, a previous report claimed that the company is set to ditch the 3.5mm jack from the Galaxy Note 10.

The Galaxy S10+, on the other hand, is said to go on sale in the UK with its 128GB storage variant at GBP 899 (roughly Rs. 81,200), while its 512GB storage version could cost you GBP 1,099 (roughly Rs. 99,300).

Samsung Galaxy S10 Colour Variants Leaked; 2 Drilled Holes on Display Rumoured

While the official information is yet to debut, Samsung Galaxy S10 is now said to debut in February next year with four distinct colour options. The next flagship model of the South Korean giant is already rumoured to have gradient colour variants that could be related to some of the four colour options. Two of the Galaxy S10 variants is also said to debut with an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is also reported that Samsung will use M9 display panels that will sport diode pumped solid state (DPSS) laser-drilled holes for the selfie camera and infrared sensor. The next-generation display panels, which will be the successor to the M8 displays featured on the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9 this year, are likely to come with the new Infinity Display designs.

Among other developments, Samsung is set to bring the Galaxy S10 in Black, Green, White, and Yellow colour options, reports SamMobile, There could also be some gradient colour jobs on the reported colour options to match the ongoing trend. Further, it is said that Samsung will offer LED Flip and Protective covers for the Galaxy S10.

The SamMobile report also mentions that there will be the SM-G973x and SM-G975x with 5.8-inch and 6.44-inch display sizes and in-display fingerprint sensor. However, it is said that the there will be a 5.8-inch display option carrying model number SM-G970x sans the in-display fingerprint sensor. It could be the most inferior option in the three Galaxy S10 variants. Moreover, the information matches a report that emerged back in July, specifying the presence of an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor on two of the Galaxy S10 models.

Apart from revealing the information about the Galaxy S10, SamMobile mentions that the Galaxy F foldable smartphone that is expected to debut in March next year will come in Silver and Black colour options. There will particularly be a device with model number SM-F900U that will have 512GB of onboard storage. The European and Asian variants of the Galaxy F, on the other hand, are said to come with model number SM-F900F and SM-F900N, respectively.

Separately, an ETNews report suggests that Samsung has preferred the M9 display panels with DPSS laser-drilled holes for the Galaxy S10. It is reported that the new display panels will come with not just one but two holes where one will be available for the front-facing, selfie camera, the other one will be provided for the infrared sensor. This is unlike the original Infinity O display design that Samsung showcased at its annual developer conference earlier this month that had a single hole for the selfie camera. Notably, the company also recently teased the Galaxy A8s with a single display hole design for the selfie camera.

Samsung is said to use SFA, Phil Optics, and Wonik IPS’ laser equipment to drill the holes on the display panels. The company is also presumed to go with an alternative approach over time as it’s not reportedly fully satisfied with the results of the DPSS.

TheElec reports that Samsung Display is internally calling the display hole technology “Hole in Active Area”. Using a laser etching or drilling process, the display panels will come with holes for the related components. An option to hide the holes virtually through enabling black panels on the display is likely to be available. This could be similar to how some Android smartphones have offered the ability to hide their display notches.

The M9 OLED display panels that will be the successor to the existing M8 displays are said to utilise red, green, and blue host colours from Dow Chemical, Nippon, Samsung, and SFC, respectively. Further, Duksan Neolux, Merck and Idemitsu Kosan are reported to provide the red, green, and blue prime layers for the new panels. The ETNews report has also mentioned the three display sizes of the Galaxy S10 and revealed that the production of the display panels has already been started. Additionally, it is said that the base model with 5.8-inch will come with a flat display, while the other 5.8-inch model as well as the top-end, 6.2-inch model will come with curved panels.
